I’m running as an Independent to protect retirement security, lower everyday costs, and bring practical leadership back to Congress. I’m Sandeep Dixit — an engineer, small business owner, and a Northeast Ohio resident for over three decades. I’m running for Congress as an Independent because too many hardworking people are doing everything right and still falling behind.

I believe government should work for people, not parties or special interests.

What I believe

  • A dignified life should be affordable

  • Hard work should lead to stability, not stress

  • Ohio deserves practical leadership — not political theater

For years, Washington has focused on winning arguments instead of solving problems. Meanwhile, families are squeezed by rising healthcare costs, housing shortages, and stagnant wages. Seniors worry about retirement security. Young workers wonder if they’ll ever get ahead.

I’m running to change that — with clear priorities, real accountability, and a willingness to work with anyone if it helps Ohio.

What I Will Fight For

I’m running as an Independent to focus on permanent solutions that lower costs, protect retirement security, and reward work.

My Top Priorities

1) No Taxes on Social Security

If you worked your whole life, your retirement income shouldn’t be taxed again.

  • Eliminate federal income taxes on Social Security benefits
  • Protect Social Security from cuts or backdoor reductions
  • Restore dignity and predictability in retirement

2) Healthcare Transparency Act

You should know what healthcare costs before you receive the bill.

  • Require hospitals and providers to publish clear, upfront prices
  • Standardize billing so patients can compare options
  • Enforce transparency to end hidden and surprise pricing

3) Apprenticeship & Worker Innovation and Opportunity Act

America invests trillions in corporations. It’s time to invest at scale in workers.

  • Invest 1% of the net worth growth of the largest eight corporations
  • Create a Worker Innovation & Apprenticeship Fund
  • Deliver about $600 million per congressional district for:
  • Paid apprenticeships
  • Advanced manufacturing and technology training
  • Healthcare, logistics, and skilled trades
  • Portable, employer-recognized credentials

A Key Enabler: Right-to-Repair Act

Modern equipment is expensive to buy — and even more expensive to maintain when only manufacturers can repair it.

  • Allow owners to repair the equipment they own
  • Increase competition in repairs and maintenance
  • Lower long-term equipment and operating costs
  • Make modern technology accessible to small businesses, hospitals, manufacturers, and farmers

What I Will Not Support

  • Taxing Social Security to fund unrelated spending
  • Hidden healthcare pricing
  • Corporate incentives without worker or community benefit
  • One-time rebates that don’t fix underlying costs

I’m not running to argue or perform for a party. I’m running to lower costs, restore dignity, and make productivity work for people again.

I’ve lived in Northeast Ohio for over 30 years. Like many families here, I’ve seen how hard people work — and how often the system doesn’t reward that effort fairly.

I’m an engineer by training and a small business owner by experience. I’ve spent my career solving problems, managing tradeoffs, and building things that work in the real world.
